Larkrise by Keith Dewhurst from Flora Thompson's trilogy
Flora started to write sketches of her childhood in 1928 when she was 52 and married to John Thompson, a postmaster in Dartmouth. These were expanded into Larkrise chronicling a lost way of life in rural England and published in 1939, eight years before her death.
